Sunday, November 2nd was a very special day at St. Michael’s as we were visited by 12 saints of the church, from ages past! If you were at the 10am mass, you may have seen our special visitors processing down the center aisle with the acolytes, choir, and clergy during the entrance hymn. To celebrate All Saints’ Day, we asked families to spend time with their children choosing a saint to represent. The children came dressed as their chosen saint, with their saint’s story to share. During Sunday school we talked about what it means to be a saint, how we are all called to be saints, and we learned a little bit about each person’s chosen saint. Then, we marched over to the church to participate in the entrance procession of the service. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to and for the wider parish to get a glimpse of what our youngest members are up to.
