Friends in Christ,
Palm Sunday is coming up this week! This marks the day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, beginning his journey to the cross and, most importantly, his resurrection.
Kids and kids-at-heart alike are invited to make a palm cross to remember Palm Sunday this week. Learn how to make one at home with this video, filmed by our own Diana Bennett, or these written instructions. Paper can always be substituted for the palm leaf if needed!
For Sunday School this week, we’ll have a virtual parade, welcoming Jesus into our homes as Holy Week begins. Families, bring your palm crosses, look for a palm branch, or draw a picture for the virtual parade!
Check out the video below for a quick hello and clip of the traditional Palm Sunday hymn, “All Glory, Laud, and Honor.”
Peace be with you,
Becky
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love’s sake. Amen.
