The fourth annual Cinco de Mayo fiesta to support the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) on May 2nd was a wonderful success. Members of the St. Michael’s Foreign and Domestic Mission were privileged to offer an afternoon of delicious Mexican food, a wide variety of beverages, festive decorations, and loads of fellowship. Five gift baskets were raffled off packed full of delicacies, raising $620.00. Since there weren’t any children in attendance this year, adults took chances at the piñata. Ole!
I would like to thank Dave and Diane Clark, Diane LeGear, Cheryl and Mark McLean, Kathy BrooksSmith, Dennis Huckabay, Tay Cooper, Patricia Jones, Lynn and Joanne Behymer, Father Doran and River, and Cynthia Johnson.
NAMI North Coastal President Mark Sensano and his wife were there along with many other NAMI members who had a great time. I am extremely pleased to announce that St. Michael’s will present a check for $3,000.00 to NAMI to help support their mission. Thank you to everyone who made this fundraiser a triumph.
