St. Michael’s youth and young adults shared in a fun, adventure-filled scavenger hunt on January 18th. After sharing a delicious lunch, participants scoured Carlsbad Village for items such as a take-out menu, a smooth beach stone, and a stranger’s autograph. They helped the community by picking up enough trash to fill a grocery bag. With the help of smart phones to record their actions, participants held a door open for someone, climbed a tree, spotted graffiti, encouraged runners, and met an out-of-towner. The first team to make it back to the church after completing all their tasks received money to kick-start their fundraising for the 30 Hour Famine.
